The Great Flood—Fact or Fiction?

Some editorial bloopers in Sunday school curriculum conjure up funny images about Noah’s ark and the great flood. For example, “The Bible tells us that Noah and his family had been floating safe in the ark.” How about: “Noah was willing to follow God’s commands, and he and his family were saved from the great flood in the ark.” Maybe this is my fave: “Guide the children to work together to build an ark-boat. The size and shape do not need to be biblically accurate.” Well, thank heavens! Noah’s ark was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet tall. Would there even be enough construction paper and tape?
